Making the Most of Your Everyday Rituals

Whether you’re lighting one of our handcrafted candles, enjoying a flame-free wax melt, or lathering up with one of our natural soaps, a little care goes a long way. Here’s how to get the cleanest, safest, and most enjoyable experience from every product we craft.

CANDLE CARE 

1. Trim the Wick
Before each burn, trim your wood wick to 1/8" by removing the charred wood. This helps prevent excessive flame, soot, smoking and uneven burning.

2. Let It Pool
Allow the wax to melt across the entire surface during your first burn (about 2–3 hours). This helps prevent tunneling and sets the stage for an even, long-lasting candle.

3. Keep It Clean
Always burn your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, like our branded cork coaster, and away from drafts, pets, and little hands.

4. Know When to Say Goodbye
Stop burning when about ½" of wax remains at the bottom to avoid overheating the container.

5. Snuff Don’t Blow
Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame without smoke or wax splatter. It’s neater and safer (and just a little more elegant, too).

WAX MELT CARE 

1. Use in a Proper Warmer
Our wax melts are best used with UL-listed electric warmers or tea light melters designed for wax. Never add water.

2. Don’t Overfill
Start with 1–2 wax cubes to avoid overflow. You can always add more later if needed.

3. Enjoy, Then Refresh
Once the fragrance fades, let the wax cool and harden, then gently remove it before adding a fresh cube.

4. Burn Safely
Keep warmers out of reach of children and pets and never leave them unattended while in use.

SOAP CARE

How to Get the Most from Your Soap

 1. Keep It Dry Between Uses
To extend the life of your soap, always place it on a well-draining soap dish. Each bar comes with its own wooden soap dish, designed to lift the soap and allow air to circulate so it stays firm and lasts longer.

2. Let It Breathe
Store unused bars in a cool, dry place, ideally somewhere with good airflow. This allows them to cure a bit more and stay firm.

3. Be Gentle
Our soaps are made without harsh detergents, artificial dyes, or synthetic fragrance oils. For best results, lather gently with warm water and enjoy the natural cleanse.
